Senior Business Counselor
Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
The Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (IHCC) seeks applications from interested individuals for the position of Senior Business Counselor. The Senior Business Counselor will be primarily assigned to the MBDA Minority Business Center that the Chicago Minority Supplier Development Council operates in partnership with IHCC. The Senior Business Counselor serves as a consultant to established high-growth potential Minority Business Enterprises (MBE's) and delivers value to these businesses by providing strategic guidance, advice and support.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze, plan, implement and evaluate strategic projects in support of MBE's growth strategies
- Work with MBE's to assist in the development and execution of robust management, operational, financial and other strategies.
- Collaborate with other team members to refine strategies to ensure they deliver the best solutions for participating MBE's.
- Work closely with the Chicago NEC (MBDA Regional Office) to generate new leads and increase the amount of resources available through the MBDA-MBC, the MBDA Chicago NEC, and elsewhere.
- Follow market trends to help develop brands and to recommend improvements to MBE's existing products and services.
- Build, strengthen and sustain relationships with MBE's and procurement and diversity officials in the public and private and public sectors.
- Prepare and present business proposals and presentations.
- Conduct extensive research on business and market trends and incorporate results in the strategy for MBE's.
- Collect industry-specific data to refine strategic advice delivered to participating MBE's.
- Conduct outreach and marketing efforts on behalf of the Chicago MBC.
- Enter data monthly to track toward performance metrics in internal CRM System
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Marketing required. MBA preferred.
- Minimum 5 years finance/procurement/consulting experience with high-growth potential businesses preferred.
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills.
- Outstanding communication and relationship building skills
- Ability to work independently, including designing innovative approaches to delivering maximum results.
- Familiarity with public and private sector supplier diversity initiatives a plus.
- Financial consulting, facilitation and experience as a consultant or trainer preferred.

Sr. Analyst, Website and Social Analytics Interactive Marketing

In this role you will be responsible for supporting deployment and implementation of analytics tools and improvements to online measurement capabilities across the AMA's websites and social channels. Specific responsibilities will include:

Requirements:
To qualify for this important position, you must possess the following:

- 3+ years experience in web analytics for segmentation, predictive modeling, forecasting and consulting.
- Thorough understanding of website, social media and online advertising metric.
- Deep understanding of analytic tools such as WebTrends, Google Analytics, Omniture, Coremetrics and methodologies to assess social media influence via FaceBook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
- Knowledge of ad serving platforms such as DoubleClick/DART, Atlas, and Eyeblaster.
- Experience of implementing and testing tagging strategies.
- Able to interact with senior management and clients, take corporate strategic initiatives and present actionable findings.
- Hands-on experience in implementing web analytics software and metrics for information products. Innovative and independent in exploring new web data solutions.
- Demonstrable communication, project management, problem solving, and quantitative analysis skills.
- Experience in presenting and communicating key concepts and ideas across all areas of the organization.
- Excellent working knowledge of Excel and experience in creating reports and dashboards.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Demonstrated comfort with ambiguity.
- Possess strong critical thinking and trouble shooting skills.

Parent Consultant (Bilingual English/Spanish)
Illinois Action for Children
Under the direction of the Community Supervisor, the Parent Consultant provides referral services to parents seeking childcare. Provides education and information on child development issues, quality indicators, licensing rules, IDHS Child Care Assistance Program, Head Start and other subsidized programs.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Offer information, education, and consultation to parents seeking childcare over the phone and/or at walk-in desk. Educate parents on how to select care, developmental needs, child care options, availability of care, licensing, subsidy information including the IDHS Child Care Assistance Program, Head Start, DCFS programs, etc.
- Provide childcare referrals to parents based on parents' needs/request and contractual obligations; conduct service evaluations/follow-ups with parents.
- Input data; maintain customer database and maintain files. Prepare reports for internal use and written consumer education materials.
- Conducts outreach activities and presentations to provide program information to community organizations and groups.
This position requires:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Services, Early Education or related field and two years work experience in childcare (working directly with children ages birth-6) OR Associates degree with a minimum of 60 credit hours in Social Services with three years work experience in childcare (working directly with children ages birth-6) including one year experience in a child care resource and referral program.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is required
- 18 college credit hours in child development is required
